Just after boarding
There is a silence
Inbetween leaving
When the tram
Feels like it
Has ran someone over
Pausing for a moment
Before making
A signal in the air
Like a complicated game
Of monopoly
Gone sidewards
Or a ghost jumping
In front of the driver
Just a few seconds
Hoping to hitch a ride.
